About Lesvos
Island
Lesvos is the third largest island of Greece. The visitor can enjoy all the tourist attractions – historic monuments, natural habitats, nightlife, and still experience the local flavor of an island that has not missed its beauty and its tradition, which goes back 3,000 years.

Kalloni is a town located in the center of the island of Lesvos. It is renowned for its fresh sardine, a delicacy, which can be prepared and cooked in various ways by the locals, and is the dish to accompany the ouzo of Lesvos, considered the best in Greece.

Kalloni is also known for the famous wetland area of the Kalloni gulf, protected by UNESCO. Starting in April, many bird watchers arrive in Lesvos to study the different species that choose the wetland as their home.
